A chic trench draped over our shoulders, an unperfect front tuck to a gorgeous blouse, mixing colors and textures for an unforgettable street style moment, a classic beret over “I just woke up like this” hair – all signs of the effortless ease factor, and tips I keep in mind when attaining this look. Essentially, when casual cool is elevated in a way that still represents effort into how you look and feel, it’s a combo that is fit to be mimicked.
Last-minute gift ideas can be a huge hit or miss and since we’d prefer to avoid the latter, there is just one gift to give that will have them swooning as if you put months into planning. Jewelry! From dainty necklaces to statement bracelets, jewelry is a sincere way to show the ones you love that you put thought into picking out a piece they will cherish for years to come.
You may have noticed on my Instagram Stories that we’ve headed to the East Coast for a little New York living, but before doing so, it was non-stop holiday parties in Los Angeles. And because I was doing my holiday outfit shopping with our future in colder climates on top of mind, jumpsuits of all kinds started flowing into my closet. Not only are they a bit more comfortable (wear and weather wise), but there’s something absolutely chic yet effortless about a jumpsuit, no? In an attempt to maintain some self-control, I continued on my search for what it was I was there for, but if I love shoes so much, they will too….right?
Over the years, I’ve had the honor of learning from some of the most inspiring designers and stylists in the game, and I’m forever fascinated by the tips I learn when around them. From styling tricks to make a silhouette more flattering (cinch the waist, always!), to how to take care of luxury textures, there’s always something I take away from their brilliance. And one lesson that has always stuck with me is the importance of something he called “finishing touches.”
This year, I have most of my selects hanging neatly in my closet, and I’m beginning to notice an ongoing trend with my holiday picks: METALLIC over everything! When sequins and velvet are asking for a break, there’s nothing I love more than a deep metallic texture for a seasonal soiree. From moody grey’s, to emerald and gold, to silver metals and hints of it, metallic is on my mind this year…
