If you haven’t noticed, I’m starting to move outside my once comfort zone here on Margo & Me. From chopping off my long locks (that I’ve had forever!), to embracing new trends like power-suits and rainbow pants, I’ve been evolving my love for eclectic and classic styles alike. More on this renewed surge of inspiration to come, but today, I want to share one of my boldest looks from New York Fashion Week. A major pop of color!

Pants are having a moment, from the return of houndstooth, to wide-legged velvet, to seasonal colors like red and marigold, to colorful stripes like these. And paired with the sheer style that I’m ob-sessed with, I think it makes a fun combo. I also think it’s a fresh take on upcoming holiday dressing. I’m seeing lots of pants in my future as opposed to dresses in similar shades and textures.

Since the pants are full of bright color, black was the perfect option to tone down the rest of the look. I chose a black blazer that came and went, an adorable yet sexy sheer top, and kept my accessories classic with ankle strap heels and a YSL bag. I was feeling very ’60s mod girl in the combo and had a blast shooting with Freddie.

What do we think? If you’re into the bold pant movement that’s here to stay, let me know. Also, shop more of my favorites below.
