While I’m home in LA planning my Birthday for this Saturday, Couture Fashion Week is underway {le sigh}. It’s my favorite time of year, I wake up extra early each morning, make myself a cup of coffee and pour over the pages of Vogue.com. In a fleeting moment, I am transported from reality as breathtakingly beautiful couture works of art float down the majestic runways of Paris.

Can you tell it’s always been a dream of mine to attend? While not one show has been beyond enjoyment, Giambattista Valli has again, captured my heart with his faithful take on uber feminine creations.

Structural lace dresses with floral appliqués danced beautifully alongside Victorian ruffled necklines, billowing capes and high, very high-low trains on his red carpet gowns. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg! The juxtaposition between flowing chiffon silhouettes and the structured tulle tops is where Valli truly shines. To give you a frame of reference, you all remember the pink gown Rihanna wore to the Grammy’s last year? Ladylike perfection!
